He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Burke and Anna Burke (Hochgesang); his wife Preceding; and his siblings, Clarissa Hochgesang, Clarence, Joseph and Linus Burke.

He is survived by: his sons, Eric Burke (Mary) of Jasper, IN and Rodney Burke (Wanda); his grandchildren, Mallory, Mackenzie, Grant and Lydia; his great grandchildren, Ada and Theo; his sisters, Marie Sternberg of Jasper, IN and Rita Moeller of Jasper, IN; and his sister-in-law Barbara Burke of Jasper, IN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Heart-to-Heart Hospice, Mentors for Youth, or to a favorite charity.
