He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Schnell and Barbara Schnell (Fritz); and his siblings, Mary Jo Sheeley, Ollie Schnell and Donald Schnell.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Schnell; his children, Marsha Opel of Jasper, Scott Schnell (Juli) of Jasper and Keith Schnell (Gidget) of Jasper; his grandchildren, Jessica Opel, Jason Opel, Marissa Wehr (Travis), Lauren Schnell (Louis Dubon), Cody Schnell and Leah Schnell; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Opel and Madelyn Wehr; and his siblings, Monica Morris and Robert Schnell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
