He was predeceased by: his parents, William Riffel and Mary Jane Riffel (Beckman); and his wife Joan Herzog of John's Catholic Church. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Ann Bartley (James) of Jasper, IN, Patricia Joan Riffel of Milwaukee, WI, Kristine Marie Jochim (Kerry) of Jasper, IN, Karen Frances Grewe (Robert) of Jasper, IN and Beth Ann Blackgrave (Jon) of Jasper, IN; his grandchildren, Jenna Davey (Tom), Brandon Jochim and Zachary Grewe; and his stepgrandchildren, Peyton, Kendyl and Trey Blackgrave. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dubois County Right to Life, Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center or to a favorite charity.
