He was predeceased by: his father Charles E. Sr. Smith; his brother Robert Dean Smith; his parents-in-law, Dennis and Marianna Wagner; and his brothers-in-law, Scotty Davis, Dennis Wager Jr. and Jerome Wagner.
He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Smith (Siddons) of Norwalk, OH; his wife Jane Smith of Jasper, IN; his siblings, Cathy Wise (Don) of Milan, OH and Steve Smith (Lori) of Norwalk, OH; and his sisters-in-law, Jennifer Davis of Dale, IN and Carla Wagner of Dubois, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
