He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gutgsell and Mildred Gutgsell (Fehribach); his former wife Carolyn Canolty (Crouse); and his brothers, Jerry Gutgsell and Richard Gutgsell.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Gutgsell of Haysville, IN; his children, Kurt Gutgsell (Cheryl) and Elaine Bromm (Dean) of Huntingburg, IN; his stepdaughters, Julie Sander of Jasper, IN and Jamie Jenkins (Keith) of Winslow, IN; his grandchildren, Nathan Bromm (Renae), Alison and Carson Bromm; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Canolty, Caitlin Tempel (Josh), Zach Powell, Landon, Alyssa, Deacon, Eli and Amelia Jenkins; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaiden, Charlotte and Parker Tempel; his brother Mike Gutgsell of Clarkston, WA; and also Paula Schneider of Jasper, IN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
