She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Cecil Cox and Merle Cox (Mowery); her husband Robert E. Hammond; and her siblings, Albert Cox, Phillip Cox, Homer Cox and Virginia Gambill.
She is survived by: her children, Rick E. Hammond (Jeannie) of Linton, IN, Michael P. Hammond (Becky) of Jasonville, IN and Pamela Sue Simmons (James) of Linton, IN; her grandchildren, Eric E. Hammond, Bradley A. Hammond (Amy), Byron Michael Hammond (Emily), Ashley Stout (Tom) and Amanda Sue Wooten (Nathan); and her sister Mary Ann Shields (Louie) of Clay City, IN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home (218 S Meridian St, Jasonville, IN 47438). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
