He was predeceased by: his father Isaac Shepherd; his wife Glenda McKinney; his brothers, Lester Shepherd (Grace) and Donald Shepherd (Flossie); and his sister-in-law Janice Shepherd.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Clark (Robert) of Indianapolis; his brother Frank Shepherd of Shelbyville; his grandsons, Samual Clark of Indianapolis, Nathan Clark-Border (Leslie) of Henderson, CO and Adam Clark (Jennifer) of Shelbyville; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Lucia Clark-Border of Henderson, CO, Carter and Harrison Clark of Shelbyville.
