He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Daniel and Mary Estelle Newhart (Walker); his spouse Beverly Jo Newhart (Spears); his granddaughter Noelle Marie Charlton; and his son-in-law Ed Charlton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jodi Charlton of Jamestown and Julie Walker (Brian) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Seth Charlton (Deanna), Gabriel Charlton, Ethan Charlton, Samuel Walker (Betsy), Grace Sexton (Scott) and Olivia Walker; and his great grandchildren, Elijah Sexton, Walker Sexton, Silas Sexton, Maximus "Max" Charlton, Augustus "Gus" Charlton, Melody Charlton, Riley Walker, Chase Walker and Jaxson Walker.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Old Union Church (5681 S 500 W, Jamestown, IN 46147). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in his memory to the Jamestown Fire Department, 450 West Main Street, Jamestown, IN 46147.
