He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne L. Gray and L. Fern Gray (Hubble); his sons, Tim Gray and Adam Gray; and his brother Duane E. Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Susana Svirskas (Rob) of North Carolina, Carl Gray (Erica) of Jamestown and John Maxwell, Jr. (Alana) of Spencer, Indiana; his grandchildren, Nico, Seth, Deidre, Wyatt, Anthony and Morgan; and his sister Luann Weaver of Lebanon. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
