He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Dessie. He is survived by: his wife Patty Funkhouser; his children, Robert D. Patterson and Kelly Sue Patterson; his granddaughters, Megan Patterson, Sara Patterson-Jones, Winter Park and Teri Toney; and his great grandchildren, Jaylan, Carter, Jaxon, Madelyn and Callie.
