She is survived by: her children, Norm Kempf of Indianapolis, IN, Leon Kempf of Huntingburg, IN, Harvey Kempf (Janet) and Louise "Lou" Merkel of Huntingburg, IN; her grandchildren, Jason Kempf, Lee Kempf, Jeremy Merkel, Janelle Byrd and Jace Merkel; her great grandchildren, Dylan Kempf, Nolan Byrd, Landon Byrd, Gavin Merkel, Morgan Merkel and Lincoln Byrd; her siblings, Art Vaal (Virginia) of Jasper, IN, Tony Vaal (Linda) of Michigan, Irma Kempf, Annie Lange of Ferdinand, IN and Mary Lee Luebbehusen (Sylvester) of Haubstadt, IN; her sister-in-law Viola Vaal of Ferdinand, IN.; her sons-in-law, Dan Merkel, Harold and Walter Vaal; her sister Delphine "Della" Reutman; and her brothers-in-law, Lawrence Kempf and Alfred Lange.
