It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley L. Schmitt (Ireland, Indiana), born in Jasper, Indiana, who passed away on June 18, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herman Brescher and Elizabeth "Betty" Brescher (Schnell); her children, Bonnie Reuber of Ireland, IN, Beverly Weyer, Doug Schmitt (Gloria) of Loogootee, IN, Dean Schmitt (Michelle Roelle) and Daniel Schmitt; her grandchildren, Dustin Schmitt (Brandi), Abby Mitchell (Doug), Tara Gibbs (Shane), Kiersten, Cole and Ivan Weyer; her brother Allen; and her sister-in-law Aline Brescher.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, Heart-to-Heart Hospice, or to a favorite charity.
