It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona M. Hulsman of Ireland, Indiana, born in Celestine, Indiana, who passed away on August 12, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank H. Knies and Theresia M. Knies (Nordhoff); her husband Rudolph "Rudy" Hulsman; her son Earl Hulsman; and her siblings, Othmar, Robert Knies, Rosalia Fuhs, Helen Vollmer and Mary Lee Humbert.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Hoffman (Mike) of Jasper, IN, Doug (Pat Krouse) of Ireland, IN, Ron Hulsman (Doris) of Ireland, IN and Jeff Hulsman (Joyce) of Celestine, IN; her daughter-in-law Jo Hulsman of Jasper, IN; and her siblings, Anna Mae Schlachter and Art Knies. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
