She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Gehlhausen and Leona Gehlhausen (Linette); her husband Preceding; her son Joseph; and her brother Robert Gehlhausen.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Fischer (John), Brenda Oser (Jeff), Jill Bonifer (Pat), Stacy Shepherd (Brad), Greg Schmitt Ireland (Lucinda), James Schmitt (Susan), Kevin Schmitt (Candy), Ferdinand, Curt Schmitt (Debbie), Bruce Schmitt (Natalie) of Newark, CA and Bret Schmitt (Amy) of Zionsville, IN; and her siblings, Mary Lee Mehringer, JoAnn Begle (Norbert), John Gehlhausen (Betty) and Leroy Gehlhausen (Donna). She is also survived by twenty three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
