He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph "Bugs" and Doris M. Hennis (Leathers); and his cousin Ronnie Everett. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Snyder Wardwell (John); his grandsons, Michael Snyder (Katie), Nicolas and Zachary Snyder; his great grandchild Elana Bell Snyder; his siblings, Bonnie Cogswell and Pete Hennis (Tina); his aunt Eldora Leathers; his grandchildren, Jonathan Wardwell and Sarah Wardwell; his nieces, Jennifer Arms (Jason) and Lisa Fry Carlson (Richard); his nephew Bryan Cogswell (Cindy); and his pet Holmie. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and too many friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Ingalls/Pendleton Indiana Fire Department.
