Gillin of Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Jasonville, Indiana, who passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Gillin and Elizabeth Gillin (Selba); his wife Clara Jo (Baugh); his great grandchild Halle Claire Gillin; his brothers, Luke, Buck, Bob and Dick Gillin; and his cousin Tom Green.

He is survived by: his children, Mike Gillin (Michelle) of Mooresville, Jeanna West (Mark) of Indianapolis and Ted Gillin (Kristi) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Casey Gillin, Carney Gillin, Elizabeth Gillin, Toby West, Quinn Gillin, Morgan Gillin, Marc Suding and Max Suding; his great grandchildren, Case Gillin and Nathaniel West; his sister-in-law Barbara Gillin; and his close friend Mildred Carson.
