He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Collins Donahue and Emmett Donahue; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Donahue and Lee Ellen Starr; his wife Shirley V. Donahue; and his daughter Cecilia Donahue.

He is survived by: his children, Theresa Brickens of Indianapolis, Chris Donahue (Katrina) of Pendleton, IN, Veronica McGhee of Muncie, IN, Bridget Donahue-Schilling (Butch) of Indianapolis, IN and Angela Donahue-Wykoff of Shelbyville, IN.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
