It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Eugene Slattery of Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Salem, South Dakota, who passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Slattery and Patrick Slattery; his wife Gaylene Marie Starr; his stepfather Herbert Marquardt; and his nephew Larry Fitzmaurice.
He is survived by: his children, Tim of Bowling Green and Susan Garrard of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Nicholas Slattery of Louisville, Hannah, Macmillian Slattery of Bowling Green, William and Thomas Garrard of Bloomington; his siblings, Phyllis Buckwalter of Lakeville Minnesota, Carol Fitzmaurice of Bloomington, Terry Slattery of Sioux Falls and William; and his sister-in-law Laura Marquardt of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
