She was predeceased by: her parents, Shankari and Durga Das Mukherjee; her brother Rajat (Tamol); her husband Ranjit Kumar Chatterjee; and her pets, Fonzie and Ginger.

She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Allison and Debasmita; her sons, Anindo (Allison) and Amlan (Debasmita); her grandchildren, Utsav, Abir, Amlan and Debasmita; her sisters, Kalpana Mukherjee (Kalpin) and Alpana Chatterjee (Alpin); and also, Murari Mohan, Santana Banerjee (Debasmita), Leo and Nikki Ford (Allison).
