She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlene Tarver and John Tarver; her brothers, Bobby L. Chambers and Johnny Lee James; and her grandmother Sarah Chambers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Aretha Hill and Ashley Sublett; her grandchildren, Mickala Fields, Davon Burnett and Desirae Thomas; and her siblings, Glenderafa "Dee" Chambers, Latanya Nichols (Michael), Yawerent "Binky" Gordon, Margaret LeFlore, James Chambers and Derrick Tarver. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
