It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Rainey of Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Ortonville, Michigan, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Robinson and Creta Robinson; her husband Jack Rainey; her son Douglas Rainey; her siblings, Arthur Robinson and Joann Franz (Richard); and her grandson Wesley Shambaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Rainey (April), Ronald Rainey, Linda Shambaugh (late Randy), Lora Rhoades (Brian), Admiral Charles Rainey (Christine) and Janice Rainey; and her siblings, John Robinson (late Gwen), Rich Robinson (Lynn) and Margie Tindall (late Jack). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hooverwood Living, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
