She was predeceased by: her parents, Basil Corrie and Maxine Corrie (Drake); her siblings, Doug, Les, Sandy and Larry; and her grandson Jeffrey Bruce Hizer.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Johnson; her son Jeff Hizer (Sally); her stepchildren, Sean Johnson (Robin) and Nicki Johnson; her granddaughter Carrie; her stepgrandsons, Ian and Austin; her great grandchildren, Savanah, Destiny and Anthony; her in-laws, Diana (Bob), Patty, Eddie and Coleen; her cousin Richard Sizemore (Joella); and her close friend Lieutenant Colonel Fred Spaulding (Micki Spaulding).
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Washington Park East (10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
