He was predeceased by: his daughter Lauren Starling. He is survived by: his parents, William Joseph Starling and Deborah Starling (Ferguson); his wife Leslie D. Starling; and his children, Dillon Starling, Cameron Starling and Seth Sugars. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
