He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marion Y. McGee and Catherine Bate McGee; his wife Donnette McGee; his children, Rick (Mindy), Tim (Lauren), Chuck McGee (Kari), DeeDee Beckham (Brian), Cathy Hayati (Don), Wendy Gonzalez, Sarah Woolwine, Lynn Lucas and Carrie Leisure (Kevin); and his siblings, Michael McGee and Sarah Healy. He was also cherished by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Dick wished for any gifts made in his memory be given to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
