Raymond L. Pelton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2025, at the age of 95, Raymond L. Pelton of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delancey Pelton and Alice Pelton (Swelfer); his siblings, Francis, Eleanor and Grace; and his son Gary Pelton (Melissa).
He is survived by: his wife Rowena Pelton (Thompson); his daughters, Laura Pelton and Linda Lewis (Bill); his grandsons, David, Kyle, Alexander and Drew; and his great grandchildren, Braden, Aryanna, Cole and Allissa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center (300 S Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Washington Park East Cemetery (10612 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229).
Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, to honor Ray's love of children or Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, to help the victims of all the national disasters.
