She was predeceased by: her husband John T. Newman; her son Brian J. Newman; her parents, Alphonse A. Tietz and Mary Tietz (Patterson); her sisters, Mary Frances Crampton and Carol Henderson; and her aunt Wilma Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughter W. Catherine "Cate" Cavanagh (Paul); her brother Anthony Tietz (Jane); and her grandchildren, Mikaela Cavanagh and Corinne Cavanagh. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.
