He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marija Babic and Dusan Babic; his sons, Daniel (Kristine) and Kristopher (Amanda); his grandson Nicolas; his sister Andja Dujakovic (Nic); and his former wife Rhonda Babic. He was also cherished by nieces and nephew, many friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Nic's Memory to Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church Building Fund. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Nicolas "Nic" Babic 's name.

“Nic and I became friends when we were 10 years old. We promised to be Kums and we did. He was my best man (Kum) and he became godfather(Kum) to my two sons. I was honored to be his best man (Kum) and also Kum to Rhonda and his two sons. To be a Kum is the highest honor, it creates a bond greater than friendship. Kum Nic, we did so much together; we laughed, loved and cried together. It is so very hard to say goodbye. Vjecnaja Pamjat Kume.”
