It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merrill Douglas Benson (Indianapolis, Indiana), born in Richford, Vermont, who passed away on September 11, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene; and his siblings, Wilma, Donald, Robert and James.

He is survived by: his children, Douglas (Linda), Kara (Sean), David and Jeffrey; and his grandchildren, Connor, Julia and Aidan. He is also survived by four children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Amyloidosis Research and Education Fund, Indiana Foundation Account Number 0320002916, c/o Sally Atcheson, Van Nuys Medical Science Bldg room 128, 635 Barnhill Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
