He is survived by: his wife Julia Nickels; his children, Maribeth Poalson (John) and Michael Nickels (Beth); his stepchildren, Patrece Kaufman, Paula Kaufman-Griffith (Wayne) and Ty Kaufman; and his grandchildren, Ashley Jewart (Kyle), Nicholas Poalson (Danielle), Ashley Garrett, Griffin Nickels, Carson Nickels, Jessica Bailey (Winston), Westley Nickels (Skyler) and Jordan Nickels. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
