He was predeceased by: his parents, E. J. Hire and Hollice Mae McGuffey Hire; his grandmothers, Delia McGuffey of Brattontown and Ida Hire of Westmoreland; and his brother Tim Hire.

He is survived by: his sisters, Beverly Kraemer (Mike) and Sherri Hunter (Buddy).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home (209 E Locust St, Lafayette, TN 37083). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery.
