It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Stefansson in Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Erwin, North Carolina, who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Lena shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lena farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Reardon and Ellen Reardon. She is survived by: her husband Einar Stefansson; and her children, Sheila Stegink (Jerry), Willie Johnson, Bryan Johnson (Cindy) and Jennifer Brown. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Church's Chapel. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church (418 E 34th St, Indianapolis, IN 46205).
The family of Lena Stefansson respectfully requests that donations be made to the Benevolence fund at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.
