It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Shirley Townsend of Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Fulton, Ohio, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George B. Barnes and Verena O. Barnes (Leu); and her sister Betty Miller. She is survived by: her husband Clarence H. Townsend; and her children, Tom Townsend (Connie), Terry Townsend (Doreen), Tonia Walkup (Bruce) and Todd Townsend (Kristine). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
