He was predeceased by: his parents, Charla Joy Major McMechan and James Arthur McMechan. He is survived by: his sons, Mac McMechan and Eric McMechan; his sister Joni Checchia; his brother-in-law Paul Checchia; and his nephew Andrew Checchia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stevens Mortuary (5520 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (5301 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224).
