He was predeceased by: his mother Wilma Jean Strode (Parrish); his son David Allen Strode; his father David B. Strode; and his sister Dorothy Duke. He is survived by: his wife Vickie L. Barr Strode; his children, James R. Strode (Yonghui), Laura Combs (Tim), Kathy Martin (Dean), Shelly O'Malley (Thomas) and Wendy Jones (Mark); his grandchildren, Nicholas A. Strode, Hannah E. Costello (Brandon), Ashley E. Sutherland, Ryan T. Combs, Myles A. Strode, Morgan D. Strode, Madisyn Sombke (Skyler), Mackenzie Gentry (Zach), Carson James, Tommy O'Malley, Nicholas Martin (Bailee Hayse) and Drew Martin (Amanda Mantock); and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Natalie, Jackson, Carter, Evan, Wesley and Eli.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery (700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
