As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Smith and Ethel Smith; and his son Randy J. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith (Curtis); his daughters, Kim Robnolte (Dan) and Kelly Smith (John Reiboldt); his granddaughter Krystal Huffman (Colt); and his sister Alice Wyatt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation (5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center (5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227).
