He is survived by: his wife Debbie Bernard (Blakely); his sons, James Bernard Jr. and Timothy Bernard (Sheri) of Indianapolis; his sisters, Linda Capps (Carlie) of Indianapolis, Sue Anderson of Indianapolis and Pam Puckett (Max) of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Abi, Taylor and Sydney Bernard.
