She was predeceased by: her parents, Edger Baker and Nina Baker (Spears); her sisters, Anna Bailey, Nina Worth and Patricia Rudicel; and her son James Meredith Richey.
She is survived by: her husband George Burns; her brother Danny Baker; and her children, William Ray Richey, Melissa, Tony Lawrence Richey, Brooke, Cody Allen Richey, George Albert Burns and Paul Adams Burns. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Indiana Memorial (3562 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222).
