It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerda Koontz of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Vormwald and Anna Vormwald; her husband James Koontz; and her sister Hilda Shrock. She is survived by: her children, Eric Sterrett, Patricia Frances and Lisa Smith. She is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
