It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Essie Juanita Brown (Indianapolis, Indiana), who passed away on August 1, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Brown; her parents, Ottley Coe and Lura Coe; her siblings, Tessie Gibbs, Lusetta "Cozy" Holman, Lyle Coe, Frank Coe, Melvin Philip Coe, Ben Coe and Morris Coe; and her grandsons, Derek Hughes and Jabari Davis.

She is survived by: her former husband George Edward Graves; her children, Marilyn Davis, Barbara Graves, Elisa McGraw (Tyree), Vikki Sneed, Charles Graves (Vernice), George Graves, Richard Graves (Melanie) and Anthony Graves; and her sisters, Mary Rowe, Alice Coe, Shirley Coe and Bertha Coe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
