It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Thurmond (Indianapolis, Indiana), who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Thurmond to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ayriel Orbra Leverett and Eunice Myrtle Salyer. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Lovellette (Glendell), Patti Daniels (Jerry) and Ken Thurmond (Nicole); her siblings, Jane McGlocklin and Sam Leverett; her grandchildren, Jim, Joshua, Jennifer, Susanne, Jason, Mae and Cory; her siblings, Cliff Leverett (Indiana), L. C. Leverett (Texas), Marie Lindsey and Helen Ford; and her nephew Rev. Michael Thurmond. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Indiana Funeral Care (2433 E Main St, Greenwood, IN 46143). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rosebud Cemetery (153 Rosebud Church Rd, Sturgis, KY 42459).
