He was predeceased by: his parents, John Young and Stella Young; his wife Phyllis; his son Jeffrey Young; and his siblings, John, James, Paul, Maurice and Marilyn.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Young (Julie), Gala McCoy and Davis Young Jr. (Rhonda); and his sisters, Betty Eastman and Lois Grissom. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
