Danny Ray Tyra Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 66, Danny Ray Tyra of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther F. Tyra and Ruby F. Moore (Wilhoite); and his stepfather Bruce Moore. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Cathy" Tyra (Moore); his children, Lena Plank (Jimmy) of Fairland, Amie Tyra (Marcus Toon) of Connersville and Logan Tyra of Indianapolis; his siblings, Debbie Kelemen (Ryan) of Franktown, Colorado and Ricky Tyra (Tonya) of Wichita Falls, Texas; his grandchildren, Austin Hunt, Dallas Tyra, Ryver Plank, Alexis Phillips, Mikey Plank, Ashton Plank, Matthew Plank, Brantley Plank, Xavier Toon, Isaiah Anderson, Laya Palmer and Heavenly Palmer; his great grandchildren, Monkey and Squirrel; and his pets, Phoenix and Rocket. He is also survived by four step-brothers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory (124 E North St, Morristown, IN 46161). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel (124 E North St, Morristown, IN 46161).
Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery, Memorial contributions may be made to USBC Youth Members, 621 Six Flags Drive, Arlington, TX 76011.
