He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Lockert and Gwendlyn Mae Lockert. He is survived by: his children, Charles E. Tankersley (Tayana) and Tessa Reed (Michael); and his siblings, Pamela McKinney, Cheryl A. Lockert, Tracy W. Lockert, Michelle Lockert and Marcella R. Lockert. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large circle of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church (2025 Winter Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46218). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
