With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bettie Davis (Leavell) Bellamy (Indianapolis, Indiana), who passed away on September 28, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Leavell and Minnie Lee Thurston; her significant other Reverend Lee Roy Bellamy; her daughter Dora Lee Marsden (Bellamy); her grandson Gary Hoskins II; and her siblings, Willie Mae Bell, Robbie Bell, Cora Shanklin, Emma Fugate, Henry W. Leavell, Morris Leavell, Maceo Leavell and Major Leavell.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Harris, Lois "Tina" Bellamy, Rickie Bellamy (Erma), Joey O'Neal Bellamy, Leroy Bellamy Jr. (Linda), Terrell Bellamy (Lisa) and Bettie; her cousin Alma Kurtz (George); and her sisters, Sarah Pope of Louisville, Beulah McIntosh of Chicago, Illinois and Gertrude Robinson (Robinson) of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; plus a host of nephews, nieces, loving relatives and friends.
