With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ada Mae Howe of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on August 28, 2021 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph T. Adams and Lillie L. Adams; her children, Walter Thomas Howe and Judith Lee Lakin; and her siblings, Sadie Poehler, Marie Sturgeon, Marion Batton, Helen Ward and Raymond Adams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bobbie Whitaker and Jodi Birkla; her sons-in-law, Phil Birkla and Thomas Lakin; her nieces and nephews, Carlene Lakin, Patti Latz, Becky Simpson (Tom), Penny Herrod (John), Susan Muracco (Joseph), Jerry Ward and Gary Ward; and her grandchildren, Lori Harriman (Matt), Ronda Hallquist (Jim), Tracie Naegle (Ron), Sheri Kaim (Jim), Mindy Perry (Scott), Tammy Riddle, Marsha Whitaker, Michele Estes (Jack), Angela Birkla, Jeff Lakin (Marcia), Brian Whitaker (Gina) and Tony Birkla (Melissa). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
