Jimmie E. Hunt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2025, at the age of 88, Jimmie E. Hunt of Idaville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hunt and Blanch Hunt (Burns); his wife Bettie Kyburz; and his son David Hunt. He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie McClaine (David) of Monticello and Donna DeArmond (Russ) of Remington; his daughter-in-law Flo Hunt of Idaville; and his grandchildren, Polly Deno (Gabe), Heidi Funk, Tyler Funk (Relisa), Alicia Fischer (Cameron) and Tanner Hayden. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello (202 S Illinois St, Monticello, IN 47960). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be given to Sitka Baptist Church or to the Idaville Volunteer Fire Department with envelopes available at the funeral home.
