She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Hoyt and Phyllis Hoyt (Fordyce); her husband John D. Smith; and her brothers, Jim Hoyt, Rick Hoyt and Edward Hoyt.

She is survived by: her brother Michael Hoyt (Mary); her nieces, Kelly Johnson, Angie Hoyt and Shannon Hoyt; her nephew Ricky Hoyt; and her aunts, Nancy Hart and Janet Freels.
