He was predeceased by: his stepdaughter Virginia Lee Holmes; and his sisters, Agnes Anderson and Frances Barr. He is survived by: his parents, Okke Vanderzee and Josephine Vanderzee (Bosma); his spouse Thelma Virginia "Ginger" Hardy; his son Jeffrey Vanderzee of Harrisburg, PA; his stepson Don Cornish (Terry) of Camp Hill, PA; and his daughters, Vicki Kunkel of Camp Hill, PA, Leigh Goas (Benjamin) and Lisa Starsinic (Ken). He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church or American Legion #85 in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
