He is survived by: his wife Lynn Schilling Butz; his daughters, Lisa Butz Burkhart of Huntington, IN and Lee Ann Butz Arnold (Kerry) of Lafayette, IN; his siblings, John Gamble (Carol) of Warren, IN, Kurt Gamble (Barb) of Huntington, IN, Barb Bowen of Huntington, IN, Mary Wooley of Huntington, IN, Viva Howell (Craig) of Warren, IN, Susie Smith of Huntington, IN and Angela Kitchen of Huntington, IN; and his grandchildren, Thaddeus Arnold, Lilliana Arnold, Kameron Burkhart and Katelyn Burkhart.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home (715 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (903 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (500 N, Huntington, IN 46750).
