It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin Richard Stayer of Huntington, Indiana, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Stayer and Dorothy Stayer (Elkins); and his parents-in-law, Darrell and Mary Creech. He is survived by: his wife Linda Stayer of Huntington; his sister Vickie (Lee); his nieces, Heather Whiteman of Osceola and Rachael Metcalf (Bryce) of Osceola; his great-niece Lillian Whiteman of Osceola; his great-nephew Liam Whiteman of Osceola; his daughter Tori Fletcher Huntington; his grandson Braxton Fletcher of Huntington; his siblings-in-law, Glenna Martin (John) of New Haven, Martha Huffman (Bart) of Silver Lake, Bill Creech (Nancy) of Plymouth and Ron Creech (Anita) of Celeste, TX; and his pet Meow Kitty Stayer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Memorial contributions in memory of Rich may be made to St. Jude Children' s Hospital or to DeMoney Grimes towards final expenses.
